Version 7.18.2
Firing drones and missiles across borders from Iraqi soil hands national sovereignty to armed factions and invites devastating foreign airstrikes in return. Hitting airports, pipelines and tankers wrecks civilian lives and drives up fuel costs far beyond the Gulf region. Real security comes from Baghdad and Riyadh building mutual trust and coordinating closely, not from militias dictating foreign policy.
A decade of relentless bombardment and siege hasn't delivered Riyadh a single meaningful win in Yemen, just mass graves and an increasingly hardened population. Missiles flying north are the predictable bill for an assault backed by Washington, not some random act of aggression. Lifting the blockade and finally admitting the military option is dead would do far more for Gulf security than any summit in Riyadh.
