Michael Avenatti is an American attorney who gained national prominence representing adult film actress Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against former President Donald Trump. He was convicted in 2022 of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft for embezzling nearly $300,000 from Daniels and is currently serving a 14-year prison sentence for multiple fraud convictions.
