The French Ministry of the Interior (Ministère de l'Intérieur) is one of France's oldest government ministries, founded in 1790 during the French Revolution and headquartered at Place Beauvau in Paris. It oversees internal security, law enforcement, civil protection, immigration and asylum, territorial administration, and national elections.
