A federal judge has ruled that 2 witnesses in the Jussie Smollett case can sue the actor's attorney for defamation.
Tina Glandian, Smollett's lawyer, suggested on the Today show in 2019 that Smollett believed he had been the victim of a racially motivated attack because his attackers may have been in whiteface. The court later found the actor had paid the men to help stage a hate crime against himself.

Smollett hoaxed his hate crime for publicity. His charlatanism was designed to slander former President Trump's politics and he continues to use racism as an excuse to avoid responsibility for his actions.
