    The Facts

    • A WSJ poll shows that Dems. have lost ground to Reps. on key issues ahead of the midterm elections, meaning Biden may lose the majority in Congress.

    • POTUS' job performance is 15 points lower than previously, and his party is 8 points less popular than the GOP, even though there are favorable marks for his response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the recent SOTU speech.

    The Spin

    Democratic narrative

This will be the most important off-year election in modern history, with America's democracy on the ballot. Democrats have brought America back alone. The Biden administration in just 2 yrs has created 6.7 million new jobs and achieved the best economic growth in the last four decades. Gas prices may be rising at the moment, but Putin alone is to blame.

    Republican narrative

The Democrats' record holds a litany of failures, including coronavirus mismanagement, surging crime, empty shelves, a southern border invasion, disastrous foreign policy, record-high gas prices, and 40-year record inflation. The economy has not improved, and Biden's primary strategy to address it has been to deflect blame, with inflation going from "good" to "transitory" to "Putin's fault".

    Narrative A

There is a 65% chance that Republicans will win the House and Senate in the 2022 elections.
