On Tues., South Carolina's HOR passed a bill to ban transgender athletes from competing in girl's sports at public grade schools and universities.
The bill, dubbed "Save the Women's Sports Act", passed 82 - 28, after an attempt by Democrats to delay the vote with ~1k amendments.

Left narrative
This legislation will only serve to fuel stigma and shame already directed towards vunerable youth, and deny transgender girls equal rights in South Carolina. Gender non-conforming children are being used as a political bargaining chip.
Right narrative
Sport is about the body and male and female bodies are different. Cisgender female athletes are at risk of being left to compete for second place against trans competitors with an obvious biological advantage. Trans athletes have no place in women's sport.
