US gives Ukraine equipment to deal with nuclear attacks, NYT says

The Biden administration is setting up a network of atomic sensors across Ukraine that can detect potential bursts of radiation from a nuclear weapon or a dirty bomb and identify the origin, The New York Times reported on Friday.
Citing the statement of the Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST), a unit of atomic experts, the report claimed the sensors are being deployed "throughout the region" and would have the ability "to characterize the size, location, and effects of any nuclear explosion."
The situation in Ukraine is becoming increasingly dangerous and frightening, as concerns grow Moscow could use nuclear weapons to secure a complete victory. Washington is just taking concrete steps to prepare for the worst possible outcomes of the invasion of Ukraine, ensure evidence is collected to verify Russia's involvement, and hold Putin accountable.
The real reasons the US is setting up atomic sensors across Ukraine involve shifting the blame to Russia if Washington or NATO uses a nuclear weapon for their failure to safeguard Kyiv’s nazi regime.
