North Korea launched approximately 10 short-range ballistic missiles from the Pyongyang area toward the East Sea at around 5 p.m. local time on Thursday, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. The missiles each traveled roughly 300 kilometers (186 miles) before landing in the sea.
