The Spin

Republican narrative

This report which was purposely suppressed for 10 years, reveals Biden's blatant corruption as he threatened Ukraine while his son collected millions from Burisma. Even Ukrainian officials saw through the hypocrisy of Biden lecturing about corruption while protecting his family's dirty money — and Biden's team illegally buried the evidence. The Democrats have no leg to stand on when it comes to the weaponization of intelligence.

Democratic narrative

Republicans are still lying about Biden's Ukraine trip, and this political stunt adds nothing to their conspiracy theories. Alexander Smirnov, the ex-FBI informant, admitted to fabricating claims that Biden and Hunter pocketed millions from Burisma. His guilty plea to felony charges, including obstruction, exposes the falsehoods central to the GOP's failed impeachment push, fueled by Russian-linked disinformation.

Establishment-critical narrative

No matter your party, this CIA document, with multiple fully redacted pages, mocks transparency. Released to embarrass Biden and boost Trump's Ukraine corruption claims, it hides more than it reveals. Ukrainian officials saw Biden's influence as hypocritical, yet the CIA's blacked-out memo offers no real insight. Americans deserve to know if the former president was corrupt, but they won't get it from this classic CIA stunt to manipulate public perception.
