US' First Local Chikungunya Case Confirmed in New York

The New York State Department of Health on Tuesday confirmed the first locally acquired chikungunya virus case in Nassau County, Long Island. This is the first such transmission reported in any U.S. state since 2019 and the first in New York State history.
