The Spin

Narrative A

Hollow Knight: Silksong’s imminent release has sparked massive excitement, with the original game hitting record Steam CCUs. Priced at just $19.99, this expansive Metroidvania sequel promises stunning hand-drawn visuals and challenging gameplay. Its hype has even forced other games to delay their launches, cementing Silksong as a landmark title worth every penny.

Narrative B

While the $20 price seems fair, the demo so far shows only polished early gameplay, leaving doubts about matching the original's depth in secrets and bosses. Its hype also overshadows smaller developers, forcing delays for games like Little Witch in the Woods and CloverPit. This dominance risks disappointing fans and stifling indie innovation if Silksong fails to deliver on its lofty expectations.
