Democratic narrative
This random attack is a tragedy for the people of Los Angeles, who should never have to face such violence as they go about their daily lives. Thankfully, this attack was brought to heel quickly by brave bystanders, followed by an incredible response from more than 100 firefighters and police officers. After a swift investigation, this perpetrator will be brought to justice.
Republican narrative
It's unfortunately no surprise that a convicted criminal was able to do this in Los Angeles. The Democrat-run state of California, and particularly Los Angeles, is still plagued by violent crime — so much so that police are now telling people not to wear jewelry in public, lest they get robbed. Criminal-loving politicians run Los Angeles, and nothing will change until they're booted from office.
