The Spin

Right narrative

The escalation of left-wing violence targeting conservative and Catholic public figures continues. The suspect's manifesto revealed clear animosity toward the Supreme Court and Catholic Church, coming just days after a Biden-appointed judge gave a lenient sentence to another would-be assassin of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The left must be held accountable for its domestic terrorism.

Left narrative

Drawing premature conclusions in these cases is intellectually dishonest and serves only to inflame division and fear. Lone acts of violence by individuals on any side of the spectrum do not reflect the values or actions of that broader political ideology. There must be a call to reduce confrontational political rhetoric that leads to violence and an emphasis on the need for civil dialogue over force and fear in American democracy.
