The Spin

Establishment-critical narrative

Police forces have become weaponized tools for ideological enforcement, arresting parents for basic complaints about their children's schools. Six officers showed up to arrest two parents in front of their kids for calling someone a "control freak" on WhatsApp — the most extreme example of how law enforcement now serves as a private militia for those who can't handle criticism.

Pro-establishment narrative

While the police may have gone overboard in this case, the couple's sustained harassment is still apparent through high-volume emails and derogatory social media posts that forced the school to seek police intervention. School parent group chats often become hostile places, and when necessary, the police have a duty to respond to calls from the victims of online harassment.
