Brazil's federal police on Thursday formally accused 16 current and former Voepass airline employees over the August 2024 crash near Sao Paulo that killed all 62 people aboard, following a two-year investigation.

Voepass owner and president Jose Luiz Felicio Filho was among those accused. Fifteen other current and former employees face charges of endangering air traffic safety resulting in a fatal disaster, an offense carrying a prison sentence of up to 12 years.
