Version 7.18.3
For the first time in cinematic history, the Six-Day War has been brought to life with remarkable historical authenticity, filming at actual battle sites while capturing the chaos and courage of soldiers and civilians alike. Its greatest achievement is showing that heroism transcends the battlefield: from paratroopers fighting for Jerusalem to a mother risking her life to save both wounded Jews and Arabs. It's a stellar tribute to modern Jewish history and bravery without sacrificing humanity.
Like much of the content produced by the Israeli film industry, this is a biased retelling of a war that ignores Israeli aggression. Updated archival research disputes Israel's claim that it was dragged unwillingly into the six-day conflict, when in fact it was pursuing longstanding ambitions to occupy Palestine. To maintain this historical whitewashing, Israeli cinema has long marginalized stories of occupation, first through explicit bans on funding such stories and now by misrepresenting history.
