Poll: Majority Doubt Trump's Mental Fitness to Lead

Is Trump showing signs of mental decline or is public doubt just partisan noise from a discredited media?

The Spin

Anti-Trump narrative

The poll rightly questions Trump's physical fitness to serve. Experts point to declining executive functioning — not just basic cognitive tests — as the real concern, and Trump's own bragging about passing those tests may actually signal he doesn't grasp what they measure. With approval at a record-low 37% and disapproval climbing to 62%, the public is clearly losing confidence in his ability to lead.

Pro-Trump narrative

This poll is pure partisan noise from the same crowd that swore Joe Biden was sharp as a tack. Their credibility on presidential fitness is zero. None of those 59% of respondents have access to the classified intelligence briefings on which Trump is actually operating. What matters is Trump's track record of using leverage to stabilize markets, not polling narratives.
