The Spin

Establishment-critical narrative

Ukraine's military intelligence agency, the GUR, orchestrated a bombing in Monaco that nearly killed tycoon Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner and their 13-year-old son. A GUR officer was arrested for murdering the suspected bomber days after the attack — a clear sign of a cover-up. This was a state-directed assassination attempt on European soil that should alarm every Western ally backing Kyiv.

Pro-establishment narrative

Yermolaiev's accusation against Ukraine's military intelligence is an unsupported claim from a sanctioned oligarch with documented ties to Russia-occupied Crimea and alleged links to a massive pan-European fraud network. The arrested officer said he acted alone, and no evidence connects GUR leadership to the bombing. A man facing sanctions and fraud scrutiny has every reason to point fingers at Kyiv.
