This Arctic deal is a historic win that no previous president could deliver, and secures the top of the world at zero cost to American taxpayers. Reopening Narsarsuaq and standing up at Mestersvig puts real muscle behind Arctic defense and Golden Dome.
Pro-Europe narrative
Strip away the bluster and this agreement mostly restates rights Washington already held under the 1951 defense pact. Denmark had blocked Chinese bids in Greenland twice before any of this, sovereignty stays with Copenhagen and lawmakers in Denmark and Greenland must still approve a text nobody has seen.
