Norwegian police opened an investigation on Thursday into former Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland on suspicion of aggravated corruption related to his connections with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The investigation will examine whether Jagland received gifts, travel or loans while serving as chair of the Nobel Committee from 2009 to 2015 and as Secretary General of the Council of Europe from 2009 to 2019.
