Alec Baldwin, 'Rust' sued for wrongful death by Halyna Hutchins' family after fatal shooting

Alec Baldwin has been sued by the family of Halyna Hutchins in a wrongful death lawsuit.
In Oct. 2021, he fatally wounded the cinematographer on the set of the film Rust.
Breaches of industry standards and a lack of basic gun safety led to this tragic and preventable death. Baldwin's reckless practice had fatal consequences.
It's not yet clear how the suit will unfold or if it will even reach court. However, Baldwin will undoubtedly have negligence tied to him reputationally even if he is not legally responsible.
