The Spin

Republican narrative

The ED has become a liberal activist center focused on everything except teaching students. One of the main reasons it's maintained itself and grown so bloated is thanks to activist judges, who, as seen in this case, are still unwilling to let it go even after the Supreme Court ruled agencies don't have free rein to act against the president. Once again, the high court must step in and remind this judge that he can't block the president just because he disagrees with him.

Democratic narrative

What Trump fails to understand is that at its core, the ED is constitutional, as it was created through the constitutional process over four decades ago. Since then, it's become a lifeline for every American child, from kindergarten to high school and up through college. This ruling took reality into account, and hopefully, Education Secretary McMahon will accept it and begin helping students again.
