Version 7.18.3
Handing life-and-death decisions to algorithms risks disguising human injustice as technological objectivity. No matter how accurate a system appears, pattern recognition cannot replace the moral judgment required to understand individual human circumstances. Human oversight also means little when officials blindly endorse decisions they cannot explain. Without enforceable accountability, transparency and meaningful remedies, ethical AI remains little more than a public relations slogan.
Human freedom should never depend on a handful of gatekeepers deciding what others may learn, question or create. Sweeping AI restrictions risk concentrating power in the very institutions that benefit from controlling access to technology. Open-source development offers a different path by distributing knowledge, opportunity and innovation more broadly, empowering people everywhere rather than letting a privileged few dictate humanity's technological future.
