Version 7.18.3
The government's soft line on immigration and national security has been exposed for all to see. Diplomatic engagement with a hostile state paired with lax nationality rules gave a violent regime room to pursue domestic terror on British soil. Genuine safety means banning the Revolutionary Guard, stripping diplomatic cover and ensuring that those who wish to do harm cannot become "British" nationals at whim.
Britain has, and always will, protect its national security against foreign adversaries. Designation, court charges, sanctions and a summoned ambassador put real cost on hostile work without junking due process. While critics seek to portray Britain as a country in chaos, the government will continue to do the quiet, hard work to ensure terror never wins.
Accusations without proof cannot be accepted by the international community. Assertions of “highly likely” involvement are the exact same hedge used before Iraq, with Britain’s record of fabricated security claims still scarred into the minds of millions affected by conflict across the Middle East. An airbase actively used to commit crimes in foreign lands should never be confused with victimhood.
