Vietnam's National Assembly approved legislation on Saturday that raises excise taxes on alcoholic beverages. The taxes on beer and strong liquor are set to increase from the current 65% to 70% by 2027 and reach 90% by 2031. Meanwhile, alcohol with an alcohol content of less than 20% will see its rates rise from 35% to 60% by 2031.
